Gregg Davis - Class of 1969

Gregg Raymon Davis, 53, passed away Friday April 22, 2005 at the Bear Lake Memorial Hospital in Montpelier, Idaho. He was born in Montpelier on June 24, 1951, to Ray M. and Naomi M. Fisher Davis. On Nov. 21, 1969, he married V. LaDeen Sparks and they were later divorced. To this union seven children were born. He later married Wilma I. Ehrhardt on Jan. 24, 2002 in Georgetown, Idaho.

Gregg worked for Bear Lake County Road and Bridge and also owned and operated Davis Construction Co. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Gregg enjoyed spending time in the mountains, snowmobiling, hunting, operating heavy construction equipment, woodworking and spending time with his family, whom he loved and adored so very much. He was always willing to help and be of service to others. To know him was to love him. 

Gregg is survived by his wife Wilma of Georgetown, 3 sons, Royden (Auralia) Davis, Rocky Davis, and Jeff Davis all of Pocatello, 4 daughters, Dottie Jo (Mike) Shirley of Dingle, Idaho, Ginette (Blake) Ruffing of Twin Falls, Idaho, Geri Davis of Pleasantview, Utah, and Debbie Davis (Kevin Murray) of Eden, Utah, 10 grandchildren, one sister, Judy (Duane) Peterson and one brother, Dean Davis. He was preceded in death by his mother and father.

A funeral service will be Wednesday, April 27, at noon in the Georgetown LDS Chapel. Friends may visit with family on Tuesday, April 26, at Matthews Mortuary from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from 10 until 11:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Georgetown Cemetery.
