John Sarbach - Class of 1944

Dr. John Hal Sarbach of Casper, Wyoming passed away January 13, 1999 at his home from congestive heart failure.  A son of John J. Sarbach and Eula Moore, John was born in Montpelier on June 7, 1926.  He was educated in Montpelier and was active in all sports.  He served in the US Navy in World War II. He received his Bachelor's of Science from the University of Wyoming and his Doctor of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry, Memphis, Tennessee.  He married Sophia Vasilias in 1955 in McGill, Nevada.  They moved to Casper in 1961 where he established his practice.  He loved gardening and had an extensive collection of German clocks.  He is survived by his wife, two daughters and one grandson.  Funeral services were conducted in Evansville, Wyoming and interment was in the Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery there.
