Lyman Kunz - Class of 1945

Lyman Milton Kunz, 83, our beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away June 17, 2010 at his home in Wardboro of natural causes.  He was born June 7, 1927 to Heber Christian and Marie Clark Kunz.  He was raised in Bern and attended grade school there graduating from Montpelier High School in 1945.  He served as a medic in the US Army at the end of World War II in Japan.  He was an active member of the LDS Church and following his service in the Army he served a mission to the Samoan Islands.  Following his mission he attended Utah State University and BYU.  He married Opal Fern Hart April 20, 1956 in the Logan LDS Temple.  He and his wife served a total of five church missions during their lifetime.  He is survived by his wife along with eight children and 48 grandchildren.  Funeral services were held in the Dingle LDS Ward Chapel.  Interment was in the Wardboro Cemetery.
