James Weaver - Class of 1934

James Ferdinand Weaver, 24, formerly of Montpelier and for the past few weeks an employee of the Lang Company of Salt Lake City, was electrocuted on Wednesday September 1940 while at work on property of the Wasatch Oil Company at Woods Cross, Utah. He died almost instantly after a metal crane mounted on a truck came in contact with a tower supporting high tension electric lines.  He was not touching the truck but was standing nearby and was knocked to the ground.  He was a graduate of Montpelier High School with the class of 1934 and had attended Utah State Agricultural College in Logan, Utah for two years.  He served a two year mission for the LDS Church in the southern states.  He is survived by his mother, a brother and a sister.
