Elmer R. Smith, 39, former Montpelier resident died at a Pocatello hospital November 1955 following a three year illness.  He was born November 21, 1916 at Montpelier, a son of the late Harry L. Smith and Clara Beinz Smith.  For 24 years he lived in Montpelier and was married to Bernice Rasmussen June 8, 1940 in Montpelier.  He lived for a short while in Aberdeen, Idaho Falls and Pocatello where he managed the Enterprise Market. He was a member of the LDS Church and the Elks Club.  He is survived by his widow and one son.  Funeral services will be held in Pocatello.
