Vernest Eugene Windley, 38, a former Montpelier resident died on May 27, 1966 in Boise following a short illness. The son of Vernest Fredrick and Emma Hansen Windley, he was born September 1, 1927 in Montpelier. He attended schools there and served in the Navy receiving an honorable discharge on August 12, 1948. He and DeEsta Larsen were married August 27, 1946 in the LDS Temple in Salt Lake City. An employee of Montpelier Coal and Lumber Company for five years the family moved to Pocatello in 1954 where he continued in similar work. Later they lived in Idaho Falls before moving to Boise as an employee of a lumber concern. Surviving besides his widow are one daughter and one grandson. Funeral services were held in the Boise 18th LDS Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Garden City Cemetery.
