Dean Larsen - Class of 1941

Dean A. Larsen, 53, died Sunday at his home following a long illness.  He was born December 30, 1922 at Montpelier to Hans and Vilate Broomhead Larsen.  He and Helen Rae Eborn were married January 3, 1944 in the Salt Lake Temple.  He has been employed by the Monsanto Company as an accounting supervisor several years.  While living in Montpelier he had served as president of the Lions Club and was an active member of the LDS Church and had served in the bishopric in Montpelier and Soda Springs.  He was a member of the Idaho Stake High Council and had served as a ward clerk and stake financial clerk.  He had also served as president of the Young Mens Mutual Improvement Association and had been a stake and ward chorister.  He was a veteran of World War II.  Survivors include his wife, two sons, two daughters and eight grandchildren.  Funeral services were held in the Soda Springs First Ward Chapel.  Burial was in the Montpelier Cemetery.
