Verona Williams (Nate) - Class of 1934

Verona Williams Nate, 56, wife of Ferris Nate, died February 25 in the Bear Lake Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.   She was born August 30, 1916 at Rexburg, Idaho to the late Frank M. and Stella Jensen Williams who for many years until May 1, 1946 operated the Williams Mortuary in Montpelier.  She attended schools in Montpelier and also the LDS School of Business in Salt Lake City.  From infancy except for a two year residency in Cucamonga, California Mrs. Nate lived her entire life within a distance of two blocks on Grant Street.  She was a member of the LDS Church and devoted her life to family and home.  For several years she worked on fund raising drives for the American Cancer Society and other humanitarian organizations.  She is survived by her husband, two children and five grandchildren.  Services were in Matthews Mortuary Chapel.  Interment was in the Montpelier Cemetery.
