Ben Ashley - Class of 1949

Ben Charles Ashley, 59, Soda Springs businessman and former Montpelier resident passed away Wednesday morning February 17, 1982 at the Caribou Memorial Hospital of a heart attack. Mr. Ashley was born October 2, 1931 at Montpelier a son of Albert John and Bessie Jenkins Hoskins Ashley.  He was married to Pattsy Daggett on April 27, 1952 at Las Vegas.  He was raised and educated in Montpelier coming to Soda Springs in 1950 where he has since resided. He is the owner and operator of the B & T Cafe and Ashley Trucking Co. of Soda Springs. He was a member of the Soda Springs Sixth Ward, member of the Soda Springs Kiwanis and past member of the Soda Springs Lion's Club. He served with the Army from 1953 to 1955 in Germany. He is survived by his wife, three sons and two daughters along with seven grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted in the Hooper LDS Chapel. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery.
