Frank Severn - Class of 1936

Retired General Electric Argonne employee Frank W. Severn, 66, died by drowning when he fell into the cold waters of Willow Creek near Ririe, Idaho after slipping on  a steep bank.  He was born November 12, 1918 in Montpelier to Harry and Mae Hoff Severn.  He grew up and attended school there and graduated from Montpelier High School.  He later attended the University of Idaho and graduated in 1938.  Severn served in the Army during World War II and was a Master Sergeant in the Pacific area.  He married Marlys Heath in 1978 in Idaho Falls.  He worked for the General Electric and Argonne and retired in June 1983.  Survivors include his wife, two daughters, five step-daughters and six grandchildren.  Services were held at the Morninglight Chapel.  Burial was in the Fielding Memorial Cemetery.
