Betty Vealey Adkins, 69, died Friday, January 2 in a Reno, Nevada hospital of cancer.  She was born June 26, 1917 in Montpelier to Asa A. and Elizabeth Sneddon Vealey.  She graduated from the University of Idaho in 1940.  She was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma--Theta Chapter and Pi Beta Phi sororities.  She taught school in Montpelier and then Soda Springs.  She went to New York where she worked for the Red Cross from 1943 to 1945.  She taught school in McGill, Nevada and then at the Huffaker School in Reno from 1955 until her retirement in 1981.  She was a member of the Episcopal Church in Ely, Nevada.  She is survived by her husband and several cousins.  Cremation was held in Reno and a memorial service was held in Montpelier at the Matthew's Mortuary Chapel.
