William Fielding Eschler, 86, died November 4, 1995 in the Rose Haven Nursing Home in Roseburg, Oregon.  He was born June 21, 1909 in Montpelier to Arnold and Marie Bergan Eschler.  He was reared in Montpelier and graduated from Montpelier High School.  He served in the Army Air Corps in India during World War II.  Most of his working life was spent working in the sulfur mines.  He was a member of the LDS Church.  Bill is survived by one brother and three nephews.  Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 am in the Matthews Mortuary Chapel in Montpelier.  Burial will be in the Montpelier Cemetery.
