William Henry Nuckols, 74, died May 26 at his home in Moreno Valley, California of heart complications.  Born in Montpelier September 13, 1922 he is the son of the late Harry Graddy and Ruth Sneddon Nuckols and brother of Christine Michaelson his beloved sister who passed away in September of last year.  After graduating from Montpelier High School in 1941 he served in the US Navy and later studied at the University of Idaho where he received his Bachelor of Science in 1953.  He received a Master of Education from Wayne State University in 1960 and a Doctor of Education from the University of Southern California in 1972  He was a devoted educator who served as both a teacher and administrator.  He was the assistant superintendent of Riverside County Schools where he helped pioneer the Regional Center of Data Processing.  He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Bernice J. Nuckols, two sons and six grandchildren.  Funeral services were held Saturday, May 31 at Matthews Mortuary in Montpelier.  Burial was in the Montpelier Cemetery.
