Murline Bird (Miller) - Class of 1941

Murline Bird Miller, 74, left this earth on Tuesday, June 10, 1997 to be at last with her beloved husband.  She was born November 18, 1922 in Dingle to John Roy and Natalea Hansen Bird.  Her early years were spent on the family farm in Dingle.  She graduated in 1941 with the first graduating class of the new Montpelier High School. She moved to Montpelier and started work at King's Variety Store until she met and married Fredrick Mondell Miller June 26, 1946.  They were sealed in the Logan LDS Temple May 20, 1965.  Fred was her eternal companion and they were blessed with two children.  She was devoted to her family especially her eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  Montpelier was her home all of her adult life having worked at Teuscher's Market for 15 years and then for First Security Bank until her retirement in November, 1987.  She died peacefully in her sleep after completing a life filled with church work and service to others.  Funeral services were held Saturday, June 14 at the Montpelier Stake Center.  Burial will be in the Montpelier Cemetery with services under the direction of Matthews Mortuary.
