Ruth Nate (Rohner) - Class of 1930

Ruth Nate Rohner, 44, died at the Bear Lake Memorial Hospital Saturday, May 8, 1954, of a heart ailment. She was born December 25, 1910, at Dingle, a daughter of Charles C. and Emma May Bird Nate. She graduated from Montpelier High School in 1930. She was married November 9, 1935, to Walter P. Rohner, and the marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple in 1951. Mrs. Rohner attended schools at Dingle, Montpelier, Utah State Agriculture College, Logan and Ricks College, Rexburg. Mrs Rohner taught in schools at Dingle, Bern and was principal of the Washington elementary school at Montpelier. She was an active L. D. S. Mutual worker until ill health forced her retirement. Surviving are her husband;  one son, Paul Charles; parents of Montpelier; two sisters, Mrs. G. W. (Birdie) Michaelson of Montpelier, Mrs. Frederick (Dora) Crockett of Birmingham, Michigan; four brothers, Russell C. Nate of Salt Lake City, Leslie Nate of Dingle, Harold Nate and Ferris Nate, both of Montpelier. She was preceded in death by a brother Royal, and a sister Merle. Services were conducted at 2 p.m., Tuesday in the Montpelier Second Ward Chapel by Bishop Alvin C. Tueller. The postlude and prelude were played by Russell Crockett.
