Gerald Clark - Class of 1940

Our most loved husband, father, grandfather and friend, Gerald Moore Clark, passed away at his home in Pocatello, Idaho on October 30, 2014. He was 93. Born October 18, 1921, in Montpelier, Idaho, son of Royal D.and Mary Mumford Clark. Married Joan Menousek on December 3, 1955 and was later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple. Gerald graduated from Montpelier High School before attending the University of Utah where he received his bachelor’s degree. After graduating from the University of Utah, he earned his doctor of dental surgery degree from the University of Washington in St. Louis. He practiced dentistry for 44 years in Pocatello. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints and served as Bishop of the Pocatello 1st Ward. He served as an active duty officer in the Army during the Korean war.

He enjoyed traveling the world with his favorite travel companion, his lovely wife, Joan. They visited over 80 different countries together. He was an avid golfer enjoying many outings with his friends.

Survived by is wife, Joan, Pocatello; daughter-in-law, Laurel Rae (William) Pettersson, West Jordan, Utah; grandchildren, Christy Ann (Michael James) Gentry, Stansbury, Utah; Stan Reed (Shelli) Clark, Bluffdale, Utah; Matt “R” (Courtney) Clark, Herriman, Utah. Preceded in death his parents, a son, Reed G. Clark and a brother, Ross M Clark.

Funeral services will be held Monday November 3, 2014, 11:00 am at the Gibson Jack ward building, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment, Montpelier Cemetery.
