Ruth Dian Wilcox, 51, died August 22, 1992 in her home in Montpelier from an extended illness.  She was born April 29, 1941 in Montpelier to Brandon and May Galloway Wilcox.  She graduated from Montpelier High School in 1959 then went to work as a telephone operator in Montpelier and later in Las Vegas.  She returned home when her father died and started working at the bowling alley in 1977 until her illness caused her retirement.  She was a member of the LDS Church and held many church positions during her life including teaching Primary for 13 years.  She enjoyed bowling, camping and yard work.  She was very gifted and did beautiful handwork.  She is survived by her mother, one brother and two sisters.  Funeral services were heldWednesday at the Montpelier Fourth Ward Chapel.  Burial was in the Montpelier Cemetery.
