Georgia Matthews (Mouritsen) (1957)

Roger spent 2 1/2 years serving as a missionary for the LDS church in West Germany.  He completed his PhD in Ed. Administration in 1967.  He worked for many years as an administrator for the Utah State Office of Education.  In 1979, he was an exchange professor at Taiwan Normal University, teaching English to Chinese teachers.  He was accompanied by his wife and six children.  They spent a month traveling home, visiting over a dozen countries.  Their home was primarily in Salt Lake but they also bought a home in Wardboro where they spent much time fishing, hunting, camping, 4-wheeling, boating, and snow-mobiling.  He was a wonderful husband and father and is missed everyday.  He was an active member of the LDS church, serving in bishoprics and on the high council.
