Ruth Stephens (Nielsen) was born on April 10, 1910, the daughter of John Edwin and Louisa Perkins Stephens. She graduated from Montpelier High School in 1929. She married Eugene Christian Maxwell Nielsen October 16, 1933 in the Salt Lake LDS temple. She passed away on October 22, 1994, in Wisconsin, from causes incident to old age, survived by her children, Meriel, Janis, Chirstin and Jay. She was buried in the Montpelier City Cemetery.
