Anona Kunz (Clawson) - Class of 1930

Anona Kunz Clawson, 93, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007 in Boise, ID. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Aug. 13, 2007 at the Boise Idaho North Stake Center, 8620 Goddard Rd. Friends may call to visit with the family from10 until 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the services. Interment will follow the services at Dry Creek Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Relyea Funeral Chapel. Anona was born on Dec. 8, 1913 to Benjamin William and Rosanna Kunz in Bern, Idaho. She was the eldest of four children. Anona attended Henegar Business College in Salt Lake City. She married Wren B. Egan on April 20, 1936 in Salt Lake City. They had one daughter, Deanna, and later divorced. Anona married Irwin Clawson on April 17, 1956 in the Salt Lake Temple. Anona was a legal secretary and enjoyed typing and accounting and she was also an avid reader. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed serving in the Young Women, especially at Girl's Camp. She served a mission to England with her husband, Irwin. Anona was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Gordon Kunz; a sister, Merna Glade; her husband, Irwin Clawson; her stepchildren, Gray Clawson and Barbara Hewlett; and her grandson, Troy Bennett. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Deanna and Charles Bennett; their sons, Layne and Trent; her sister, Verlene Baker of Alameda, California; her daughter-in-law, Carolyn Clawson of Rexburg, Idaho; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family who dearly loved her.
