Thelma Eschler (Banks) - Class of 1932

Thelma Eschler Banks, 81, died on October 24, 1995 in the Memorial Hospital of Carbon County in Rawlings, Wyoming.   Thelma was born on August 7, 1914 in Bern the daughter of Luis M. and Ann Elizabeth Kunz Eschler.  She graduated from Montpelier High School 1932.  She married Vern A. Banks in Paris and the marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.  They had two children.  She held positions in the Stake Sunday School presidency, the M.I.A., the Primary and the Relief Society.  She was a campfire leader and served as a Red Cross volunteer at Memorial Hospital in Carbon County for several years.  She enjoyed knitting, sewing and crocheting.  On September 25 Thelma and her husband celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary.  She is survived by a son and a daughter along with eight grandchildren.  Funeral services were heldOctober 27.
