Erna Boehme - Class of 1933

Erna Martha Boehme, 83, loving sister and aunt, passed away Friday, October 10, 1997 in Bountiful, Utah.

She was born June 28, 1914, in Geneva, Idaho, to John H. And Gertrude Marx Boehme. She graduated from Montpelier High School in Montpelier, Idaho. Served a faithful mission to Germany from 1937 to 1939 and then served her country as a member of the U.S Navy WAVES during World War II.Erna was the Assistant Circulation Manager for the LDS Church News and retired from the Newspaper Agency Corporation in 1983. She was an active and faithful member of the LDS Church all her life. Erna's life was dedicated to others and no one will ever know the impact her life had on others. She tied hundreds of baby quilts, gave magazine subscriptions and numerous gifts, including the ever present "Special Event" card with money tucked inside for family members and for family members who lived in East Germany and all missionaries from the family.

She is survived by her sisters, Elsie C. Hillier, Evelyn (Cal) Poulsen, Lucy (Glenn) Sanders, Ruby (Clarence) Pedersen, and Elaine (Orvil) White; brothers, Heber J. (Lyle) Junior Boehme, Donald M. (Janet) Boehme. Also surviving are many cousins, nieces and nephews and their children.

Her wish was to be buried at Geneva, Idaho. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, October 15, 1997, at 1:30 p.m. at the Geneva City Cemetery, Geneva, Idaho. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, and on Wednesday at the Geneva LDS ward house from 12 noon to 1 p.m. prior to graveside services.
