Loye Jensen (Patterson) - Class of 1936

Loye Patterson, 82, of Boise, Idaho, passed away at home, Monday, May 7, 2001.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2001, at the 6th Ward LDS Church, 1925 Broadway Ave. with Bishop Mark DeMeester officiating. Burial will follow at the Morris Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Relyea Funeral Chapel, Boise, ID.

Loye was born Oct. 6, 1918, in Paris, Idaho, a daughter of Lars W. and Ethel F. Jensen. She was raised and attended school in Montpelier, ID. After graduating from high school, she went to work at a doctor's office. Loye married LeRoy Patterson in 1938, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They raised three children. Loye worked for First Security Bank for 10 years. She devoted the rest of her time to her children and grandchildren.

Loye is survived by her husband, LeRoy "Pat" Patterson of Boise, ID; a daughter, LeRae Nelson of Boise; a son, Kent and his wife, Lynette Patterson of Boise; a daughter, Karin and her husband, Richard Wissmiller of Portland, OR; seven grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, LaNea Anderson of Brigham City, UT and a brother, Blake Jensen of Montpelier, ID.
