Bruce Tueller - Class of 1936

Our loved and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, Bruce Tueller, age 77, died January 20, 1996 at his home. Bruce struggled valiantly for many years against the ravages of physical injuries, ailments and diseases. He was an example of tenacity, good humor, and strength throughout these ordeals.

Born Dec. 11, 1918 in Paris, Idaho to Alvin Christian and Cecelia Dustin Tueller. He served in the LDS Church Western States Mission from 1939 to 1941. Married Dorothy Josephine Tisher in Council Bluffs, Iowa on February 7, 1942. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Bruce retired from the Union Pacific Railroad in 1976.Survived by his wife, Dorothy; four children, Dennis B. (Marti) Tueller, Debra Ann (Pete) Sauers, Douglas J. Tueller, and Darla Jo Tueller, six grandchildren; Allison, Jeff, Daniel, Celia, Brita and Mary Tueller; brothers and sisters: Scott (Joy) Tueller, Beth (Bryant) Olsen, Loa Lee (Wendell) Nelson, Gayle (Coy) Larson, Larry (Julie) Tueller, Glade Tueller, also his sister-in-law, Norma Tueller (preceded in death by his brother, Don Tueller), and many adoring nieces and nephews.

He will be greatly missed by his wife, his family, and his many, many friends. He was loved by all who knew him. Bruce will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and for his special relationship with his "Angel", Darla Jo.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 24, 1996, at 12 noon, at the Brighton Tenth Ward Chapel 7600 South 2300 East, Cottonwood Heights. Friends may call at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 East Bengal Blvd. (7600 South), Tuesday, January 23, 1996 from 6 to 8 p.m. and from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment: Memorial Estates Mountain View Cemetery, 3115 East 7800 South.
