Woodrow Hayward - Class of 1937

Woodrow E. Hayward, 88, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2008 after a valiant battle with cancer.

He was born on May 18, 1919, the son of Albion O. and Eva Davis Hayward. He married Beebe Crane on May 8, 1946 in the Idaho Falls Temple and is survived by her and their two sons, Alan (Deborah) and Paul (Rebecca); seven grandchildren- Troy (Michelle), Tiffany (Adam), Heather Justin), Holly (Brian), Audrey, Peter, Daniel; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A veteran, he served in the US Army, Pacific Theater, in World War II for five years. He was a past Lt. Governor of the Clearfield Kiwanis Club. Woody was a builder and constructed everything from dams to furniture. Fly fishing was a favorite pastime. He championed the under privileged. He was active in Church Sports for several years and was a High Priest in the Fruit Heights 3rd Ward.

Funeral services will be held at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 1941 North Main, Farmington, Utah on Tuesday April 15, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Burial in Farmington City Cemetery.
