Fern Koford (Buck) - Class of 1944

Fern Julia Koford Buck, 57, passed away January 30, 1983 in a Logan hospital following a lingering illness.  Mrs. Buck was born October 12, 1925 in Montpelier to Allan and Laura Carlsen Koford.  She graduated from Montpelier High School and worked for the Union Pacific Railroad during World War II.  She attended LDS Business College and Steven-Henniger Business College, both in Salt Lake City, Cosmetology School in Pocatello and worked for Utah Power and Light in Montpelier and was transferred to Salt Lake City.  She married Richard E. Buck in 1958 in Winnemucca, Nevada and resided in Nampa until 1965 when they moved to Montpelier.  He passed away December 25, 1980.  She was a member of the Grand Lodge Auxiliary.  She also was very active in helping the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.  She loved gardening and had a beautiful yard.  She is survived by one son, one daughter and one grandson. Funeral services will be held in the Matthews Mortuary Chapel.  Burial was in the Montpelier Cemetery.
