Georgia Follick (Kingsford) - Class of 1951

OGDEN - It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, Georgia Jean Kingsford, having succumbed to Alzheimer's Saturday October 18, 2008. She was born May 25, 1932 in Montpelier, Idaho to Geneva (Jean) Meade and Reul George Follick. She was the youngest child of four children. She attended school in Montpelier, Idaho and graduated from Bear Lake High School. On June 19, 1953, Georgia married Deane Moore Kingsford in Montpelier and for 56 years made their home in Ogden. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Georgia worked as a secretary for Weber Fuel Oil, an executive secretary for Western Auto, and for many years she worked for herself as one of the top Avon Representatives in the western United States, earning many awards. She was a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi (Laureate Delta chapter). Georgia also participated in the "League of Women Voters of Utah." Georgia was very sociable and outgoing. She took great pleasure in the happy times spent with friends and family. She was a competitive bowler and won many awards. She enjoyed playing golf, sewing and traveling, including their many trips to Hawaii. She is survived by her husband, Deane, sons: Jeffrey (Janice) Kingsford and Scott (Jill) Kingsford, two granddaughters: Amy (Jake) Collard, and Nicole Kingsford, and three great grandchildren: Kadin and Alexys Bombela, and Caleb Collard. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 24, 2008 at 11a.m. at Aaron's Mortuary, 1600 Washington Blvd. Interment will be at Leavitt's Aultorest Memorial Park.
