D. Wayne Sleight, 59, of Oceanside died Saturday. He was born in Montpelier, Idaho, and was a financial manager for World Financial Group. Mr. Sleight served in the Army. He served with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Mission to the North Central States from 1962 to 1964.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Melinda; daughters, Afton Sleight of Encinitas, Willow Jager of Henderson, Nev., Treesje Bennett of Provo, Utah, and Torrey Sleight of Henderson, Nev.; sons, Adam of San Marcos and Jared, Jordan and Wayne of Oceanside; sisters, Karen Hayes of St. George, Utah, and Pam Schipper of Salt Lake City; brother, Paul of Nampa, Idaho; and five grandchildren.
