Nina Loy Vaterlaus, 60, former Montpelier resident, died Saturday, May 9, 1998 in Mesa, Az where she had been living with her brother.  She was born July 21, 1937 in Montpelier to Ernest W. and Virginia Rich Vaterlaus.  She lived in Montpelier until the death of her parents when she went to Mesa to live with her older brother.  She attended schools in Montpelier and was very active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Nina Loy is survived by her two brothers, Dean R. and Barbara of Mesa and Thomas D. and Carolyn of Austin, Tx, and numerous nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held Monday, May 18 at 10 am in the Montpelier 2nd Ward Chapel where friends may call for one hour prior to the services.  Burial will be in the St. Charles Cemetery with services under the direction of Matthews Mortuary.
