Edith was born in Dingle, Idaho on August 1, 1926 to Ann Lillian Toomer Cook and James Golden Cook. Edith and her two sisters were raised in Montpelier, Idaho by their mother following the unexpected deaths of their brother and father. She graduated from Montpelier High School, with honors, and moved to Nampa to attend Nampa Business College. Edith settled in Caldwell, Idaho with her three children where she worked as a bookkeeper. She later established an in-home daycare, where she had the privilege of keeping a watchful eye on her mischievous grandchildren and many others. She touched the lives of many and was admired for her strength. Edith persevered through limitation and lived life to the fullest. A once in her lifetime Harley ride with her son and weekly dinner and shopping trips with her daughter were the highlights of her well lived life in recent years.

Edith was preceded in death by her parents, brother (Van), and sister (LaRue). She is survived by her three children, Linda Barnes, James Wilson (spouse Sandy) and Clinton Wilson (spouse Mary); grandchildren Amber Barnes, Jamie Wilson, Mathew Wilson (spouse Megan), Michael Wilson, Jeremy Wilson (fiancé Marcella Thompson), and Caleb Barnes; great-grandsons Afton and Jaden Rochlitz and Marcus Wilson; sister, Thelma McCarty; daughter in law, Debbie Wilson; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Ashley Manor in Middleton, Idaho and Autumn Crest Hospice for their care of Edith during her final journey.
