So sorry to hear about Florann.  I went to high school with her and remember her for being a sweet, quiet lady with a smile on her face - always!  It was fun to be around her - she never gossiped or made fun of others.  She could always make me feel good about myself.  She was a great classmate!  My sympathy to her family.  Eva Kunz Berry

I too, am sorry to hear about the passing of my great friend, Florann.  I remember the first time I met her after she moved to Montpelier.  I offered to give her and some of her friends a ride home from high school one spring day after school.  We were in my 1948 DeSoto Convertible with the top down.  I didn't know anything about her and I made some derogatory comment about Catholic's not realizing that she was one.  She forgave me immediately.  When I moved back to Montpelier in 1968 we were reacquainted when she was working at the hospital and I was helping Dad with the ambulance calls and death calls.  Over the years she probably called me hundreds of times to come and get someone in the ambulance or the hearse.  Over those years our friendship grew and I remember talks with her discussing about everything going on in the world, the town and the hospital.  No matter how bad things ever got she always had a positive attitude and had the ability to lift the spirits of all those around her.  I have missed those talks with her since I moved away.  I know she is probably lifting spirits on the other side of the veil now just like she did here.  She was a great healer for many people. Sincerely,  Leonard H. Matthews
