Norma Jonely (Nate)

Norma Jonely Nate, 53, died on Saturday, December 3, 1966 in a Salt Lake City hospital. She was born September 24, 1913, in Montpelier, the daughter of William and Anne Opplinger Jonely. She and Harold Nate were married March 4, 1935 in Hollywood, California and for several years after their marriage they made their home in Los Angeles before returning to Montpelier to reside.

Mrs. Nate is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. A. B. (Sonja) Clark of Alexandria, Virginia, two grandchildren; one brother and two sisters, Earl Jonely and Mrs. D.K. (Phyllis) Scott, both of Santa Monica, California, and Mrs. A. B. (Ione) Jamison of Los Angeles.

On Tuesday, December 6, 1966, prayer at the mortuary was by Glenn Barnson, following which funeral services were conducted in the Montpelier Fourth Ward Chapel. Prelude and postlude music: Mrs. Lester Armatage; opening song: "Lead Me Gently Home," trio of Phillip Hulme, Max Haddock and Eugene J. Grimes; prayer, Dr. Donald N. Meek; obituary and remarks, Doyle W. Anthony; vocal solo, "In the Garden of Tomorrow," Mrs. Eugene Wilcox, accompanied by Mrs. Armatage; speaker, Clarence Lindsay; closing song, "The Lord's Prayer," Max Haddock; closing prayer, Bishop Noel D. Stewart.

Acting as pallbearers were Wayne Wilcox, Kenneth Regnier, DuRell Moss, Edwin Nelson, Charles Jenkinson and Emmett Sparks. Dedication of the grave in the Montpelier cemetery was by Horsley Spencer. Arrangements were by Matthews Mortuary.
