DeVirl Kunz - Class of 1936

Our beloved husband, father, brother and grandpa, DeVirl Alvin "Bud" Kunz, died Sunday, January 10, 1993 in Orem, Utah.

He was born June 22, 1918 in Bern, Idaho to Alvin Nephi and Amy Matilda Kunz. Bud married Virginia Smith of Randolph, Utah, May 7, 1941.He is survived by his wife, Virginia Smith Kunz, Encinitas, Calif.; daughters, Patricia Kunz McKeon, Santa Clarita, Calif.; Ardys Kunz Raddatz, Orem; Dorothy Kunz Dearden, Riverton; Joyce Lee Kunz Peck, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; 22 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Merlyn Kunz Jensen, Montpelier, Idaho; brother, Kenneth K. Kunz, Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by his parents, his grandson, Robert Kunz Peck, and three brothers, Lamont, Junior and Foster Merlen Kunz.

Bud retired from government service 10 years ago. He was active in the LDS Church and was currently involved in preparations for the opening of the San Diego Temple. He was Bishop to many and loved by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.

Funeral services Wednesday, January 13, 1993, 10 a.m., in the Orem North Stake Center, 1000 North Main, Orem, Utah. Interment in Randolph, Utah.
