Maurine M. Day Hoff was born June 20, 1913 at Montpelier, Idaho, the daughter of Morris R. and Vivian Kimball Day. She attended grade and high school at Montpelier all except one year at Watertown, South Dakota.

She married H. Dean Hoff at Paris, Idaho and the marriage was later solemnized in the Logan L. D. S. Temple. She died in Boise of cancer January 7, 1965 and was buried in Boise. Surviving her are husband and sons R. Dean and Glenn M. Hoff and seven grandchildren all of Boise. Both her mother and father preceded her in death.
