(1973) After graduating from high school and after a. wonderful four—year courtship, I married Raymond Kibby in the Logan Temple. I then began my career as chief cook and bottle washer.

I had the privilege of working to put Raymond through vocational school as a welder and an auto mechanic at Utah State University in Logan, Utah. He is now a nationally certified mechanic.

We really loved living in Logan and plan to live there when we retire. We also lived in Pocatello where Raymond helped to build the gun plant. We even planned to move to Alaska, but we got “cold” feet by the time we got as far as Pocatello. (Because of the War, Raymond’s services as a mechanic were needed more in Idaho than in Alaska.)

We moved back to Montpelier and have lived there ever since. In 1968, I enjoyed a short vacation in Arizona.

We have a daughter, Julie Rae (20), who kept us busy all through the years and made us Mr. and Mrs. Bear Lake in 1972. We then were thrilled to go to Boise for the Miss Idaho Pageant where Julie was one of eight semi-finalists and won the non- finalist talent award. She married Gregory C. Jewell in the Salt Lake Temple. He is a fifth-year professional student in electrical engineering at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.

I’m expecting to be a grandmother in September.
I have really enjoyed working in various LOS ward and stake organizations. Some of these include stake Gleaner leader, stake MIA secretary, and at present, Montpelier Fifth Ward Sunday School secretary.

I am employed at the A. J. Winters Elementary School in the Hot Lunch Program, and I especially enjoy working with the young children.
My hobby is cooking, and I especially like to try out new recipes. My favorite pastime is going with my husband wherever his jobs—mechanics and refrigeration services—take him.
