Our gentle giant, Frank Wayne Steckler, 70, returned home to his Heavenly Father Nov 3, 2001. Born Jan 27, 1931 in Bern, ID to Frank A. and Myrtle Kunz Steckler. Married his eternal sweetheart LaVelle Jones Nov 25, 1951. Marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

He served in many positions in the LDS Church throughout his life and enjoyed singing in the Tabernacle Choir for 10 years. Worked for the US Postal Service for 31 years.

Survived by his sweetheart of 50 years; seven children; 32 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister; and a million friends. Preceded in death by two grandchildren.

His hugs will be missed.

Services will be Wed. 1 p.m. at the Glenmoor Stake Center, 4200 W. Skye Dr., South Jordan. Interment, Mt. View Memorial Estates.
