Orem, UT. -- May Lindsay Call, 82, of Orem passed away Saturday, July 13, 2002 at home following an extended illness. She was born May 31, 1920 at Bennington, ID. The daughter of Hyrum Lester and Vara Mourltsen Lindsay. She was the sixth of eight children and grew up there on the family homestead, attended local schools and graduated from Montpelier High School, then worked and attended college. 

She was a member of the LDS Church and graduated from LDS Seminary. She was a Primary teacher from the age of 12 and has taught and served in leadership positions in the various organizations of the church and served two stake missions. She has also been involved with genealogy and family history work and temple service.

She married Ferris Nathan Call on June 11, 1942, in the Logan LDS Temple. They raised a family of five sons and three daughters in Bancroft, Idaho, and moved in 1976 to Orem, Utah, where she and her husband worked with a local greenhouse, then worked in the Provo Deseret Industries and later served in the Alberta Calgary Mission from 1984-86. 

Mrs. Call is survived by her husband Ferris of Orem, four sons and two daughters and their spouses: Willard L. and Nadine Call of Idaho Falls, ID; Stephen L. and Betty Call of Soda Springs, ID; Ellis E. and Liz Call of Bancroft, ID; Morris L. and Pat Call of Pocatello, ID; Jeanette Anderson of Provo, UT; Lynette and Peter Allen of Orem, a daughter-in-law, Mary Call of Dayton, ID, also 36 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 7 step grandchildren. Survivors also include one brother and one sister and their spouses: Darrell R. and Gwen Lindsay of Soda Springs, ID and Immogene and Lavell M. Rich of Boise, ID.

She was preceded in death by two children, Martha Ann Call and Ferris L. Call and also her parents, two brothers and three sisters.

Services will be conducted on Tuesday, July 16, 2002 at 11 a.m. at the LakeRidge LDS 5th Ward, 650 S. 400 West, Orem. Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday July 17, 2002 at 2 p.m. at the Bancroft Cemetery, Bancroft, ID.
