Idaho State Journal, 07/29/07

SODA SPRINGS — Reva Clegg, 85, longtime resident of Grace and Soda Springs, died peacefully on Monday, July 23, 2007, at Springcreek Manor in Soda Springs. Reva had been a resident of Springcreek Manor assisted living center for the past five years.

She was born in 1922 on a ranch near Mackay, Idaho, the daughter of Ray and Pearl Stoddard. The family moved to Everett, Washington, where her father worked for several years before moving to Montpelier, Idaho, where she graduated from high school.

She met Leo Clegg and they were married in 1940. They had two children, Stephen and Dana Lee, both deceased.

Reva and Leo and their family moved to a farm in Bench, Idaho, where they lived for several years before moving to Soda Springs. Leo worked for Monsanto until he passed away on Sept. 28, 1983.

She was a well-known beautician in Soda Springs and owned her own beauty shop. She was also a successful salesperson for Avon products. She was a member of the Soda Springs LDS Eighth Ward.
She is survived by two grandchildren, Stacy and Troy, and their children; and also a sister, Eileen Stanton of Auburn, California.

She was a gregarious person with a keen wit and many friends. We will all miss her.

Cremation services were conducted July 24. Memorial services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 1, at noon at the Hooper LDS Chapel.
