Our beautiful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, at ninety years of age quietly completed her earthly mission and returned home to be with her beloved husband. A quiet peace and tender sadness surrounds her family as we say goodbye to this remarkable woman.

Erna's greatest love was her family and friends. She enjoyed entertaining and was an excellent cook. Holidays were filled with family, food, and love. Erna also loved music and to travel. After her children were out of the house she worked for European Health Spas and later for Murdock Travel. At Murdock she was responsible for the travel arrangements for several thousand Mormon missionaries who under her care were transported to all areas of the world. She was an active member of the LDS church, and served for 25 years in her favorite calling as the ward music leader. Erna and Wayne also loved the time they served as volunteers in the Salt Lake Temple.

Erna was born January 24th, 1922 in Logan Utah and spent her youth in Montpelier, Idaho. It was there she met the love of her life, Wayne W. Stevenson. Wayne and Erna were married in the Logan Temple. They went on to spend 68 years together before Wayne was taken from us.

Erna was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, Emil and Marie Glauser, her brother George Glauser, and sister Lilly Desy.

She is survived by her brother, Wayne Glauser (Donna), her sons Craig (Christine), Ron (Alan Boeke), Kevin (Debbie), and daughter Lori Stevenson Shaw (Dennis). One of Erna's great joys were her grandchildren, Scott, Alisa, Tyler, Phil, Clint, Jared, Ken, Beth and Daniel. She was also blessed with six great-grandchildren.

The family expresses its sincere appreciation to all of the family members, friends and professionals who provided a loving and caring environment for her during her final years of her life.

A funeral service will be held in the LDS chapel at 4100 Camille Drive (2480 East), Salt Lake City on March 17th at 11:00 a.m.
