Alice Trussel (Foster) - Class of 1943

Alice Trussel Foster passed peacefully in her home on December 12, 2010. She will be remembered for her infectious laugh, brilliant smile, and love of life. No one could light up a room like Alice.Alice was the ninth child out of 11 children whose parents, Frederick Trussel and Rosa Hollenweger Trussel, immigrated from Switzerland. Alice was born in Montpelier, Idaho on January 18, 1925. She graduated from Montpelier High School with honors and later attended the BAC in Cedar City, Utah. Alice met Charles Eldred Foster DDS at a USO dance in Sacramento, California. The couple married in the St. George Temple On May 18, 1946 and recently celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary. As an active member of the LDS Church, Alice held many positions of responsibility, but undoubtedly loved being Drama Director. Her road-shows were legendary. Her vivacious personality won her many friends in every endeavor she undertook, from Hotel Management to Real Estate Sales. She loved to read and was an excellent artist. Alice is survived by her husband Chuck, and children; Michael (Kim), Christine (David Granere), Kenneth (Susan), Brian (Deanne), 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grand-children. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 17, 2010 at the Salt Lake Mt. Olympus Stake Center, 3862 East Oakview Dr. (4280 South) at 12:00 noon.
