Dean Hoff - Class of 1943

ROY-- Dean D. Hoff, 75, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2000 at his home after a valiant battle with cancer.

He was born November 23, 1924 in Montpelier, Idaho, the son of Henry Herman and Ivy Adeline Dalrymple Hoff. He married Georgia Bright, June 28, 1948 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He served in the Army Air Corp. during World War II. He was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity at the University of Utah, where he received his degree in business. He retired from G.M.A.C. as branch manager in Ogden in 1986. He was a member of The LDS Church, Roy 4th Ward. He had lived in Montpelier, Idaho; Salt Lake City, UT; Logan, UT; Idaho Falls, ID and Roy., UT.

He is survived by his wife, Georgia of Roy; son Warren Dean Hoff, Roy; daughters Patricia Lorine Butler, West Jordan, UT; and her son Shane Robert (Stacey) Butler, Tuscon, AZ; Janet Lee Call, husband Tedd A. Call and their three children, Cristina Lee Call, Tyler Anson Call, Sabrina Ann Call, all of Bakersfield, CA; a sister, Lois D. (Grant) Morrell of Salt Lake City. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and brothers Grant D. Hoff and Wayne D. Hoff.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 25, 2000 at 11 a.m. at the Roy 4th Ward LDS Chapel, 2100 West 5300 South. Graveside services will follow Saturday at the Sunset Lawn Cemetery, 2350 East 1300 South, Salt Lake City at 3 p.m. where military honors will be accorded.
