Ray Widmer - Class of 1944

GENEVA ? Ray L. Widmer, 75, died Sunday evening, April 1, 2001, at his home in Geneva, Bear Lake, Idaho.

He was born June 21, 1925, at Geneva, Idaho, to George L. and Margaret Widmer. He cowboy?d, farmed and did trucking his entire life.

He married Betty Nebeker Nov. 3, 1956.

Ray is survived by his wife, Betty, of Geneva; two sons, Ray L. (Laura) Widmer Jr., and Don (Teresa) Widmer, both of Geneva; two daughters, Daliene (Marty) Wuthrich of Pinedale, Wyoming, and Jane Collings of Provo, Utah; three stepchildren, Terry (Ray) Haskell of West Valley City, Utah, John (Pam) Mickelson of Provo, Utah, and Susie (Troy) Wilkinson of Montpelier, Idaho; 23 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Grant (Colleen) Widmer of Gresham, Oregon, Gene (Hanah) Widmer of Tucson, Arizona; four sisters, Doris Irving of Soda Springs, Idaho, Fawn (Dean) Phelps of Moreno Valley, Calif., Ruth (Todd) Bunn of Nampa, Idaho, Beth (Vic) Spencer of Northridge, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson and one great-grandson.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 6, 2001, at noon in the Geneva LDS Ward Chapel. Burial will be in the Geneva, Idaho Cemetery.
