Rade Ernest Anderson, 22, a Montpelier resident since 1948, was killed about 8 am Sunday, July 18, 1965, when the car he was driving west to Pocatello and an eastbound car collided at a point on US 30N about two miles west of Soda Springs. Rade was born April 3, 1943 at Afton, a son of Ernest T. and Theresa Hayward Anderson. He moved to Montpelier with the family in 1948. He attended local schools and at the time of death was employed by Montpelier City Street department. Well liked and active in organizations, Rade belonged to the local reserve unit and Bear Lake Jaycees. He was a member of the LDS Church. Ron Peterson reports that if Rade was your friend, he was your friend always. Interment was in the Montpelier City Cemetery.
