Clyde Carraway

Bro. Clyde L. Carraway, 76, of Lucedale, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, February 17, 2015 in Mobile, Alabama. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Wiggins and a member of One Voice and the Mississippi Churchmen. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Lee Carraway; parents, Clyde C. Carraway and Eva McMaster Carraway; daughter, Lillian Carraway and one sister, Joyce Harrison. 

Bro. Clyde taught school in numerous states: Utah, Mississippi, Alaska and Idaho.He also served as minister of music at numerous churches: First Baptist Church of Logan, Utah, Calvary Baptist Church in Idaho Falls, Idaho, First Baptist Church of Sitka, Alaska, Trinity Baptist Church in Laurel, Mississippi, Rawls Springs Baptist Church in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Navco Baptist Church in Mobile, Alabama, First Baptist Church in Lucedale, Mississippi and for the past eighteen years he has served First Baptist Church of Wiggins as minister of education and senior adults. 

Bro. Clyde participated in countless mission trips.These included Peru, Hawaii, Australia, Russia, China, Honduras and all over the Continental United States. 

He is survived by his wife, Judith Carraway; two children, Stephanie Carraway, John Carraway and his wife, Jamie all of Lucedale; two step-sons, Chad Kelly and his wife, Meagan of Dauphne, Alabama and Ryan Kelly of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Conner, Aiden, Ashlynn Carraway and Jackson Kelly; two sisters, Margaret Johnson and her husband, Robert of Canton, Mississippi and Charlotte Knight and her husband, Don of Shaw, Mississippi.

Visitation will be from 9-11:30 a.m., Saturday, February 21, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Wiggins.Service are 11:30 a.m., Saturday, February 21, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Wiggins with a graveside service at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Magnolia Cemetery in Lucedale. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to: The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Research P.O. Box 4486 Houston, Texas 77210. Moore Funeral Service in Wiggins is in charge of the arrangements.
