Emma Hopkins (Anderson) - Class of 1950

PLEASANT VIEW - Emma Clariece Anderson, 72, died Thursday, December 30, 2004 at her home in Pleasant View.

She was born April 27, 1932 in Soda Springs, Idaho, a daughter of Harry and Edna H. Wood Hopkins.

Emma married Webber Wilson while she was serving in the military. They were later divorced. She married Roger E. Anderson on August 11, 1986 in Pleasant View.

She was reared and educated in Soda Springs and Montpelier, Idaho. Emma served with the U.S. Army in the early 1950s. She worked as a secretary at Hill Air Force Base for many years.

Emma had a great sense of humor. She loved traveling all over the world including Europe, Africa, and North America. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, ceramics, painting and comedic movies. She once sang with country star Willie Nelson. She also loved spending time in her garden and yard.

Surviving are her husband, Roger, of Pleasant View; one son and one daughter, Skip (Kathy) Wilson, Farr West; Cynthia (Mike) Campbell, Harrisville; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers and one sister, Delano Hopkins, Coos Bay, OR; Greg Hopkins, and Marie Wilson, Pleasant View.

She was preceded in death by two children, Michael Wilson and Patricia Ann Wilson, and one sister.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Lindquists North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd.
