Thomas Spencer - Class of 1955

Our beloved Thomas Richard Spencer, 69, died April 6, 2007 in Orem, Utah from heart failure. He was born on September 29, 1937 in Paris, Idaho to his parents Thomas Horsley Spencer and Jean Reinhold. He attended high school in Montpelier, Idaho then he served an LDS mission. He attended Utah State University and received a BS in Special Education and a MS in Mathematics. He married Carol Ann Schroeder on April 21, 1979.

Thomas was a Math and Special Education High School Teacher. Fishing and hunting was a favorite pass time and he loved to travel all over the world. His grandchildren were the light of his life and he was a very generous and giving man.

He is survived by his wife; his children D'Nae (Charles) Benns, Becki (Victor) Ontiveors and Richard (Lindsay) Spencer; 28 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers James (Dorothy) Spencer, Dennis (Renee) Spencer and 3 sisters Arlene (Edward) Hanson, Elaine (Jon) Daines and Faye (James) Roberts. He is preceded in death by his parents and his son Monte Keffen Spencer.

Funeral services will be held April 10, 2007 at 11:00am at the Orem 1st Ward, 85 S. 280 E. in Orem, Utah. Interment held at Paris Cemetery in Paris, Idaho.
