Terry Derricott - Class of 1957

POCATELLO - Terry D. Derricott, 65, Pocatello, died Sunday morning, February 22, 2004, at his home following a long battle with diabetes. He was born December 27, 1938, in Montpelier, Idaho, to James Rolla and Vera Dimick Derricott. Terry grew up and attended school in Montpelier.

He married Gloria Stutts and they had two children, Chad and Lisa. They were later divorced, and he married LouRae Bailey. They had a daughter, Traci, and two stepchildren, Linda and David.

Terry served in the National Guard. He worked for Central Farmers Fertilizer Company until he began employment with Intermountain Gas Company, where he worked as a construction inspector, later promoted to operational manager. After approximately 30 years of service he was given a disability retirement in November 1997.

Terry loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and rifleman. He had many fond memories and stories of these occasions. He especially looked forward to the annual fishing trip to Henry's Lake with his good friend, Bob Rigby, and several others.

Survivors include his wife, LouRae, daughter, Traci, and granddaughter, Kylie. They were the love of Terry's life. He has a brother, Jim Derricott of Idaho Falls, and a sister, Loye Rich of Brookings, Oregon.

Cremation will take place under the direction of Cornelison-Henderson Funeral Home, 431 North 15th Ave., Pocatello. His ashes will be laid to rest in his favorite hunting site by close friends and family.
