Idaho State Journal, 03/16/11

MONTPELIER — Carolyn Freida Teuscher Peterson, 72, ended her journey on this earth on March 14, 2011, and was called home to her savior. Carolyn was born on June 16, 1938, to Dorthea Boehme and Christian William Teuscher in Geneva, Idaho. Carolyn spent her early years growing up in Geneva. She graduated from Montpelier High School in 1957. She later moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, where she worked at Sears, while getting her accounting degree from Stevens Henniger College.

In 1960, Carolyn returned to Montpelier and started her family with her firstborn, Tonjua, then Carla and Nicole. Carolyn worked very hard raising her girls. She made many sacrifices to provide for her family.
Carolyn was an Avon lady for many years, prior to starting her career as a CNA at Bear Lake Memorial Skilled Nursing Facility from 1977 to 1986.

In 1985, Carolyn met the love of her life, Clifford Kay Peterson, and on Jan. 20, 1986, they were married, and she added five more children to her family: James, Casey, Kitty, Ceilla, and Honey Lyn. Together they have spent the last 25 years loving and caring for each other. They built a beautiful farm together, where they raised cows and farmed the land. In October of 2008, they started delivering mail for the U.S. Postal Service.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, sister, late husband, Albert Keith Ashley, Ashley Marie Veater, and Jameson Peterson. She is survived by her husband, Clifford Kay Peterson; children and grandchildren, Tonjua, Gary, and Aaron Holsten, Carla, Keanu, and Aries Ashley, Nicole, Jay, and Zachary Sayler, James, Martha, Jessica, Marinda, Jamie, MaKayla Peterson, Casey, Michelle, Mitch, Mallory, Mia Peterson, Kitty Lowden, and Kimberly Johnson, Ceilla, Mike, Brittney, Chelsey, Cole, and Macey Johnston, Honey Lyn, Dwight, Camden, and Kylan Atkinson; and eight greatgrandchildren; brothers, Royce Teuscher, Ronald Teuscher, LaVoy Teuscher, Blaine Teuscher, and William Teuscher.
