Dennis Buhler - Class of 1962

Dennis Jay Buhler, age 60, passed away Friday, Jan. 16, 2004, after a courageous battle with cancer, at
the Rocky Mountain Care Center in Evanston, Wyo. He was born in Pocatello, Idaho, on Jan. 1, 1944, to
Jay O. Buhler and Frances Ormond Buhler. He was reared and attended schools in Bear Lake County,
Idaho, and graduated from high school in Twin Falls, Idaho, and then attended Idaho State College in
Pocatello, Idaho. Dennis was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in
many positions in his church such as ward clerk, elders quorum president, and especially enjoyed teaching
the youth.

Dennis spent most of his life in construction, was an associate real estate broker and contract mail hauler.
Dennis loved the mountains of Wyoming. In the beautiful fall of the year he loved to spend time hunting and
fishing in the mountains. He loved spending time with his family, friends and horses.

He is survived by his parents, Jay and Frances Buhler; one brother, Twayne (Jeanine) Buhler; two sisters,
Linda Dobey and Ellen (Jim) Fischer; three daughters, Denise (Parish) Criddle, Tresa Buhler and Bridget
(Shawn) Irwin; one son, Shawn Stevenson; special friend and care giver, Carol Dee; eight grandchildren and
one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his sister Elaine Joy Buhler Holmes.

A funeral service was held Jan. 23, 2004, at the Evanston South Stake Center, with Bishop Rick Cluny officiating.
