James Sharp - Class of 1943

James Hunter Sharp, Jr. died on December 29, 2012. He was born on July 3, 1925 to James H. Sharp, Sr. and Fanny Hunter Sharp in Montpelier, Idaho. He had two sisters, Helen and Patricia. He graduated from Montpelier High School, later serving in the Army Medical Corp during World War II. He met and married Lenna Marie Nield in 1946. They had four children: Stephen, Patricia, Paul and Linda. He lived for many years in Afton, Wyoming where Lenna was from. He had many jobs while he was in Star Valley; the two he loved the most were farming and being a professional hunting guide. He and Lenna owned a farm west of Afton, near Auburn. The family later moved to Salt Lake City in 1965 where he worked for Hi-Land and Cream of Weber Dairies as a wholesale route driver. He also built homes as a second job.

He is survived by his sister, one son and many grand and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, one sister, three of his children and a grandson.

Graveside services were held at Murray City Cemetery on Friday, January 4, 2013.
